Lara is an 8 years old girl, living in Cantanhede, who suffers from an alteration in the NeuroD2 gene. Only 3 children in the world suffer from this alteration and little is known about this disease.
It is known that this alteration caused her an epilepsy of difficult control and that as a consequence she was left with brain damages that affect all her motor and cognitive development. The collection of caps and lids is a solidarity movement that is taking place and that could help Lara a great deal in her intensive treatment.
Altice Labs could not remain indifferent and joined this movement, asking its employees to collect caps and lids throughout the company. It was possible to collect 35 kg of bottle caps (44 jugs) to help Lara fight her illness and on the 15th of July they were delivered to Lara’s family.
