The Broadband World Forum (BBWF) took place this year within a broader context, bringing together in a single event (Network X), three traditionally distinct events. In addition to BBWF, 5G World and Telco Cloud took place simultaneously, aligning market trends as well as widening the audience. It all happened in Amsterdam (Netherlands) between the 18th and the 20th of October.

Altice Labs was represented in Amsterdam by André Carmo and José Durães, from the Business Development and Support department, José Machado, André Brízido and Paulo Mão Cheia from the Network Systems Development department, who presented the technological novelties, especially the new FiberGateway tri-band Wi-Fi6E as well as the Central Office OLT solutions supporting GPON and XGS-PON technologies and support for 25/50G-PON. Highlight was also given to the 5G Small Cell solution in the context of 5G Private Networks.

This event is one of the most significant in this market, in which Altice Labs makes a point of being present for 6 consecutive years. This is always a unique opportunity to share technology news and discuss new challenges and opportunities with our customers, partners and suppliers, as well as serving as a technology barometer for the global market.

José Palma from MEO, was invited to present MEO’s Success Case in the implementation of the FTTx network, in which Altice Labs participates.
